POST /eth/v2/beacon/blinded_blocks

Publish a signed block.

instructs the beacon node to replace the transactions_root with the matching complete list of transactions in order to create and publish a SignedBeaconBlock using the components of the SignedBlindedBeaconBlock.

For the beacon node to be a part of the beacon chain, it must broadcast a freshly created SignedBeaconBlock to the beacon network. An indication of a successful broadcast is all that a successful response (20X) signifies; the beacon node is not needed to verify the signed BeaconBlock. Blocks that do not pass internal validation are nevertheless broadcast, but a different status code is returned (202).

This endpoint is pre-Bellatrix and will take a SignedBeaconBlock. This also tells the beacon node to broadcast all signed blobs that are provided, following Deneb. The broadcast_validation query parameter allows you to modify the broadcast behavior.

Example Request and Result for /v2/beacon/blinded_blocks

In this section, we provide an illustrative example of a request made to retrieve details contents using the /v2/beacon/blinded_blocks endpoint. Additionally, we present the resulting response containing information about publishing a signed block.

Parameters

Field	Type	Description

Eth-Consensus-Version *	string	Version of the block being submitted. Available values : phase0, altair, bellatrix, capella, deneb

More details about the possible values of the params:

1. broadcast_validation

The degree of verification that needs to be done on a block before it is sent out.

Potential amounts:

• gossip (default): quick checks for gossip just

• consensus: comprehensive consensus verification, encompassing verification of every block field and signature save for the transactions that carry out the payload.

• consensus_and_equivocation: identical to consensus, except before the block is broadcast, an additional equivocation check is performed. The block fails validation if it turns out to be an equivocation.

A 400 status MUST be returned right away and the block MUST NOT be broadcast to the network if the block fails the desired level of validation.

Even if validation is successful, the block needs to be confirmed in its entirety before it can be added to the state and the caller is given a 20x status.

The example in this section uses a non-existing project id.
