POST /eth/v1/beacon/blinded_blocks

Publish a signed block.

Gives the beacon node instructions on how to build and publish a SignedBeaconBlock by substituting the whole list of transactions for the transactions_root. This is done by using the components of the SignedBlindedBeaconBlock. To be added to the beacon chain, the beacon node needs to broadcast a freshly created SignedBeaconBlock to the beacon network.

A successful response (20X) just signifies that the broadcast was successful; the beacon node is not needed to verify the signed BeaconBlock. The beacon node is supposed to incorporate the new block into its state and validate it internally.

Blocks that don't pass this internal validation process are nevertheless broadcast, but they receive a different status code (202). This endpoint is pre-Bellatrix and will take a SignedBeaconBlock. Additionally, this orders the beacon node to follow Deneb.

Example Request and Result for /v1/beacon/blinded_blocks

In this section, we provide an illustrative example of a request made to retrieve details contents using the /v1/beacon/blinded_blocks endpoint. Additionally, we present the resulting response containing information about publishing a signed block.

Parameters

The example in this section uses a non-existing project id.
