/eth/v2/validator/blocks/{slot}

Produce a new block, without signature.

Asks a beacon node to generate a legitimate block so that a validator can sign it. The execution and beacon nodes determine the current state of the network, which determines whether the returned block is blindfolded or unblinded.

If the beacon node gets the execution payload from its paired execution node, it must to provide an unblinded block. If the execution payload header is obtained from a MEV relay, then it is required to return a blinded block.

The response's metadata describes the kind of block that was created, and as forks advance, more block types will be added to the list of supported types.

Example Request and Result for /v2/validator/blocks/{slot}

In this section, we provide an illustrative example of a request made to retrieve details contents using the /v2/validator/blocks/{slot} endpoint. Additionally, we present the resulting response containing information about producing a new block without signature.

Parameters

Field	Type	Description
slot*	string	The slot for which the block should be proposed.
randao_reveal*	string	The validator's randao reveal value.
graffiti	string	Arbitrary data validator wants to include in block.
skip_randao_verification	query	Skip verification of the randao_reveal value. If this flag is set then the randao_reveal must be set to the point at infinity (0xc0..00). This query parameter is a flag and does not take a value.

The example in this section uses a non-existing project id.
